Oracle is planning to cut 20,000-30,000 jobs, reported CIO citing investment bank TD Cowen. The layoffs would free up $8-10 billion in cash flow, which Oracle plans to use for expansion of its AI data-centre after US banks pulled back from financing. Oracle is also considering to sell its health-care software unit Cerner, which it acquired for $28.3 billion.

A post issued by the Pakistan government's official X account said the government granted permission to Pakistan team to travel to Sri Lanka for the tournament. The Union Budget 2026-27 has allocated ₹1,102 crore for expenses incurred by the Council of Ministers, the Cabinet Secretariat, the Prime Minister's Office and for hospitality and entertainment of state guests and ex-governors. The amount is higher than the revised estimate of ₹978.20 crore allocated in 2025-2026. This also includes provision for Special Extra Session Flight Operations for VVIPs.

"It is meant to essentially handle the systemic risk in derivative markets," he added.
