Silver prices jumped to hit an all-time high of ₹2,14,500/kg in Delhi, up by ₹10,400/kg, according to the All India Sarafa Association. Meanwhile, spot silver appreciated by $2.31, or 3.44%, to hit a lifetime high of $69.45 per ounce in the overseas markets. Meanwhile, gold prices rose to a fresh lifetime high of ₹1,38,200 per 10 grams in Delhi.

Another youth leader has been shot amid the protests in Bangladesh. Motaleb Shikder, a leader of the National Citizen Party, was shot in Khulna on Monday, days after the death of student leader Sharif Osman Hadi. Hadi, who had been shot in the head, died while undergoing treatment in Singapore.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon have announced the successful conclusion of the landmark India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (FTA). This comes after the two leaders held a telephonic conversation on Monday. The FTA was finalised just nine months after negotiations began during Luxon's visit to India in March 2025.

Jeevan Ghogre Patil, member of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), was allegedly kidnapped and thrashed in Nanded on Monday. He accused his party colleagues Prataprao Patil Chikhalikar and Mohanrao Marotrao Hambarde for the attack. All India Medical Students’ Association appealed to PM Narendra Modi for "immediate and urgent intervention" to ensure the safety of Indian medical students stranded in Bangladesh amid the protests. "Their security remains vulnerable, leading to immense fear...among the students as well as their families," AIMSA's letter stated. Notably, a Hindu man was lynched by a mob in Bangladesh last week.
