Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was admitted to AIIMS in Delhi on Monday after he lost consciousness twice when he went to the washroom over the weekend, officials said. The 74-year-old will undergo MRI at the hospital. He had resigned from Vice President's post on July 21 last year, citing health reasons.

India's retail inflation rose to a three-month high of 1.33% in December 2025, up 62 basis points from 0.71% in November. The rise was driven by higher prices in personal care, vegetables, meat and fish, eggs, spices, and pulses. This marked the 11th straight month that inflation remained below RBI's medium-term target of 4%.

The Union Budget 2026-27 will be presented on February 1 (Sunday), Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla confirmed. Economic Survey will reportedly be presented on January 29. The President earlier approved that the Budget Session's first phase will commence on January 28 and conclude on February 13 while the second phase will commence on March 9 and conclude on April 2.

A detailed analysis has been launched after ISRO's PSLV-C62 rocket, which is carrying spy satellite Anvesha and 15 others, encountered an anomaly during the end of the PS3 stage, the space agency said.
