Veteran industrialist Ratan Tata, aged 86, passed away at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai. Aamir Khan expressed his sorrow and spoke on Tata's immense contribution to the country. "It is a sad day for the country. The contribution of Ratan Tata to the country is priceless," the actor said. Kiran Rao also shared her thoughts saying, "It is a sad day."

Aamir Khan, during an appearance on 'Kaun Banega Crorepati', shared that he advised his actor-son Junaid to travel from Kashmir to Kanniyakumari by bus to understand the culture of India and connect with people. "[I advised him to] stay there for a certain period exploring local cultures. That journey will teach you things no school or college can," Aamir added.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) directed the makers of 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' to make some audio cuts. The censor board asked them to mute or replace the inappropriate use of words like 'Vakeel', 'Sardaar', 'UP Police' and 'Gurudwara'. The makers had to mute/modify 'H******ana' and censor the dialogue 'Bahan ka...maroom'.

Actress Meera Chopra, cousin of Priyanka Chopra, said if she were an insider, she would have done over 20 films even if she didn't have the talent. 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' director Raaj Shaandilyaa denied producer Sanjay Tiwari and writer Gul Bano Khan's accusation that the film's concept was stolen from their script, 'Sex Hai Toh Life Hai'. "We're sending a legal notice...We haven't stolen anybody's concept," said Raaj. He added that his film is a fictional story, inspired by various news articles.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India wrote a letter to 'Bigg Boss 18' host Salman Khan after the makers included a donkey as a contestant on the show. Calling its inclusion "deeply distressing", they urged Salman to use his influence to urge the producers to "avoid using animals as props for entertainment".

Mourning Ratan Tata's demise, actress Priyanka Chopra wrote in her Instagram story, "Through your kindness, you touched the lives of millions." She also wrote, "Thank you for your unmatched passion and dedication for everything you did for our country...You have been an inspiration to us all and will be greatly missed, Sir."
