RCB fans have urged Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to declare June 3 as annual holiday if RCB go on to win IPL 2025. A fan club wrote a letter to Siddaramaiah, requesting him to declare June 3 as RCB Fans' Festival Day, proposing statewide celebrations equivalent to that of Karnataka Rajyotsava. RCB will play their fourth IPL final on Tuesday.

After MI batter Rohit Sharma scored 81 runs off 50 balls in his team's Eliminator match against GT on Friday, former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif posted on X, "Huge match and Rohit’s XXL batting performance". Notably, MI scored 228 runs for 5 wickets after batting first in the match. Rohit hit nine fours and four sixes in the match.

English cricketer Jacob Bethell, who represented RCB in IPL 2025, shared that he faces discomfort with hotel mattresses. "A lot of these hotel beds are way too soft...I’ve got a bad back and I’m only 21, so we need to sort that out...I might have to walk around with some memory foam," he said. India cricketer Jasprit Bumrah said in a recent podcast, "I started playing cricket late...because my mom thought I'll not be able to finish my school if I focus on cricket." Bumrah stated, "I used to play with my friends in the backyard...Never serious". Bumrah, who is playing in MI's Eliminator match against GT, has taken 17 wickets in IPL 2025.

English cricketer Jacob Bethell opened up about his RCB teammate Virat Kohli, saying he was pretty comfortable and "chill" around the former India captain. "He's definitely got that feeling. And when he walks out to bat, it's pretty electrifying to walk out with him," he added. Bethell further said Kohli has a "certain intensity" which is "pretty cool to see".

MI on Friday recorded the highest-ever total in Eliminator in IPL history. MI posted a total of 228/5 against GT in the IPL 2025 Eliminator. MI opener Rohit Sharma scored 81 runs off 50 deliveries. The previous highest total in an IPL Eliminator was 207/4, recorded by RCB against LSG in 2022.
